Well that sucked…

In today's 5 Minutes we hear from Barnaby Howarth who after being diagnosed with diabetes at 14, being bashed and having a stroke at 25, then losing his first wife to breast cancer at 36, Barnaby thought he needed something magical to survive it all – just trying his hardest and being proud of himself didn’t seem like enough, but he has played a season in the AFL for the Sydney Swans, was school captain at his high school, climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, given keynote speeches around the world and is helping his 13-year-old stepdaughter get through high school – and he's been doing it all with nothing more than what was already inside him the whole time.

Barnaby speaks about real-life resilience – the stuff we all have inside us the whole time but just need help finding – he has spoken all around Australia, on cruise ships, in San Diego, Auckland, Calgary, and Dubai. Barnaby's uniquely personable and relatable personality makes him a perfect fit for people who need a positive boost.
