Jenny Woodward has been a welcome visitor in everyone’s home for over 35 years. So many of her fans have grown up watching her on ABC television, commenting on her changing hairstyles, colourful outfits and most importantly watching the crucial weather report. Often they were told to sit in complete silence until the weather report was over!
It’s easy to see why this much loved ABC weather presenter played to sell out houses when she launched her one-woman stage show, “Weathering Well” in 2021. It toured to 20 locations across the state and the crowds lingered and queued after the show to get a chance for a chat with Jenny.
Renowned theatre critic Phil Brown described the show as “one of the most heart-warming I have ever seen” and called it “a
nostalgic cavalcade of fun, and a warm and wonderful experience.”
Jenny still gets a little thrill each time she walks into a studio and that shows in her energetic and engaging style. And she is just the same in real life – she feels like a member of the family.
Over the years Jenny has weathered the highs and lows of television and is an expert at navigating innovation and change and staying relevant in a dynamic media landscape.
