Willow Pryor is a professionally trained futurist focussed on supporting individuals, communities and organisations to be future proof. We live in a rapidly changing, uncertain world where more than ever it is important to be the architects of change rather than the victims of change.
Willow Pryor is a professionally trained futurist – Masters of Strategic Foresight, Swinburne University- and member of the Association of Professional Futurists (APF) with a focus on creating more sustainable, equitable and just futures. As a foresight specialist, coach and facilitator Willow has been involved in a wide range of projects, specifically in health, disability, community, water and engineering. Her experience has covered work with government, not-for-profit’s, corporates and social enterprise. Examples of projects include work with: Multicultural Development Australia (MDA Ltd); Queensland Urban Utilities (QUU); Multicultural Affairs Queensland (MAQ, Department of Communities); National Disabilities Services Queensland; Vic Health; and Rural Northwest Health (Vic). Willow is an Associate with the Executive Challenge Academy (Archers field Consulting and Management) and Metafuture, and partners with FutureWe, Teach the Future and Executive Brand. For Woodfordia Inc Willow is a facilitator and advisor for the Renewable Energy Party focussed on transitioning Woodford Folk Festival to carbon free and 100% renewable energy. Willow is also published in the Journal of Future Studies (JFS) and a board member for BridgIT Water Foundation, an international humanitarian NFP focussed on working with remote communities in the developing world to provide sustainable, accessible and suitable water solutions. In a previous life, Willow was a transformational therapist and wellness coach where she worked with clients through times of transition and change.
In her varied roles, Willow enjoys igniting a sense of agency and empowerment within people, organisations and communities. Thus, supporting them to effectively work together in collaboration towards their desired future in the context of a rapidly changing, complex world. She is passionate about taking people from confusion through to clarity, and that often involves some hard conversations that, when directed in the right way with the right tools, can lead to greater clarity and confidence.
