Brisbane based champagne educator and champagne consultant, Bernadette O'Shea, is holder of the prestigious Vin de Champagne Award which recognises her knowledge of Champagne.
For her services to the champagne industry she has been inducted as a Dame-Chevalier of the L'ordre des Coteaux de Champagne and was made a Dame Officier of the order in 2010, and awarded the “Chambellan” medal in 2014. In addition, Bernadette has been awarded the Diploma d'Honneur Corporation des vignerons de champagne, or St Vincent's Award for teaching services to the champagne industry.
She has also been invested with the Chevalier de l'ordre du Merite Agricole a knighthood from the French Government for her work in the champagne industry.
Bernadette has a passion for the wine industry and has an informative and entertaining presentation on a selection of wines, including wine notes, which enthrals small intimate dinners to larger conference groups. Champagne tastings can be arranged as part of her presentation, with only quality champagnes from Boutique and Grand Marque Houses in France served.
Bernadette is an expert in assisting with the selection of fine wines alongside countless menu combinations.
Bernadette is a member of the Australian Society of Wine Educators.
