Julie McDonald is an experienced corporate MC and motivational speaker on the topics of risk, goal setting, teamwork and finding your “why”. In 2006 Julie was awarded the Order of Australia Medal (OAM) for services to sport, the community, The Australian Olympic Drug Education Program and fundraising for charities.
Julie represented Australia at two Olympics and two Commonwealth Games winning an Olympic Bronze in 1988 in 800m Freestyle and two Gold and two Silver Medals at the 1986 and 1990 Commonwealth Games. Julie held the Commonwealth Record for the 800m Freestyle for over 21 years – one of Australia’s longest standing records.
Julie is on the board of two charities, Melanoma Patients Australia and the QLD Olympic Council. Julie has just been voted in as President of the QLD Olympians Club.
Her passion is to get everyone healthy and help athletes with their transitions from sport to real life. Julie’s vivacious personality makes her a favourite with companies as she connects with people very quickly and delivers the message they are seeking.
