Ashwin Segkar is an experienced business owner and radio presenter, working on state-wide and national talkback and lifestyle shows for one of Australia’s biggest media networks. He has spent the last decade interviewing people from varied walks of life, building rapport and creation conversation that matters. He is also a professional comedian and MC and has performed on ABC TV and at leading comedy clubs around Australia. From on-air, to live shows, his life revolves around conversation. He speaks to and teaches executives about how to create engaging, meaningful conversation with anyone they meet. From sales staff wanting to building rapport with customers and teams wanting to improve their collaboration, to business owners wanting to connect with audiences online and in person, he helps you to understand and work on the little-known key skills you need. From the attitude that leads to better connection, to the behaviours that encourage others to open up and speak authentically, and the techniques that lead to more profound and valuable conversation, his talks and training are practical and engaging.

Ashwin was born in India and left at age one, being raised in the UK, Malaysia and New Zealand before arriving in Australia and he shares lessons on adaptability and flexibility that anyone can apply as they connect with others in conversation. He has completed tertiary studies in both journalism and commerce and started a career as a marketer in 2002, before co-founding marketing agency in 2016.

They are based on his deep experience as a communication professional and have been implemented successfully by students including HR professionals at multinational organisations such as BHP, to small business owners and coaches, as well as academics in Australia and abroad.
