Having made a name for herself as one of Australia’s most sought-after speakers and trainers, Karen has provided both keynote and training programs for some of Australia’s top shelf companies and organisations including Qantas, CBA, Westpac, Queensland Government, 2018 Commonwealth Games, Bond University and the Australian Federation of Air Pilots (AFAP).
Karen has also worked with some of the world’s most prestigious brands, identities, Heads of State and Royalty. She is author of the highly acclaimed best-selling book ‘Women’s Words of Wisdom, Power & Passion’ featuring inspiring insights from 50 iconic Australian women launched by the then Governor-General Dame Quentin Bryce at Government House to celebrate the centenary of International Women’s Day.
Having helped raise over $10million for charity, Karen is a passionate advocate and contributor to Queensland. Over the past two decades she has served on a number of key community boards including Griffith University’s Institute of Glycomics, Gold Coast Community Fund, Ambassador for the Vinnies CEO Sleep Out as well as, while also dedicated to supporting youth initiatives such as Rotary youth leadership programs. Karen also sits on the Queensland Small Business Advisory Council.
In 2018, Karen was awarded Gold Coast Citizen of the Year for her dedication and remarkable service to the Gold Coast community. With hundreds of high-profile events across Australia under her belt, she’s managed and hosted one of Australia’s longest-running women’s business clubs, the iconic Early Risers Breakfast Series on the Gold Coast for over 31 years, interviewing over 750 celebrities, icons and inspiring leaders including names like Jane Fonda, Ray Martin, former Prime Ministers, she’s even sung on stage with Olivia Newton-John!
Between running her bespoke communications agency which she launched at just 28 and her media and professional speaking commitments, she is Executive Director of Women in Business Australia and the UAE which specialises in business and development programs and awards for women in business.
