Jamen Wilcox has been working in the field of Occupational Health and Safety for close to 20 years.
After undertaking various roles at WorkCover Queensland and Queensland Health, Jamen moved on to the private sector. Here he worked in training organisations and as a Senior OHS Consultant with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland and Australian Business and Consulting Solutions Group.
Eventually starting his own business, Jamen has operated from the Cairns region servicing clients throughout Australia. Jamen has worked in various industries as an OHS Consultant and Trainer, including but not limited too; Health Care, Construction, Agricultural, Retail, Warehousing, Transport and Earth Moving. Many of Jamen’s clients, such as Apunipima Cape York Health Council, Tosco Office National and Yumba-Meta Housing Association, have utilised his services for a number of years. Jamen has also undertaken consultancy and training work for; The Maxitool Group, Great Adventures, Toll Transport, JCU, Main Roads, Ergon and many more.
While focusing on WHS, Jamen has also been involved in an assortment of indigenous engagement roles for a range or organisations and has worked extensively in the Cape and NT.
Jamen focuses on delivering practical, customised safety solutions that empower workers to manage their own safety obligations in-house.
His experience in consulting and training and is a well-regarded business professional. He has worked in most regions and indigenous communities throughout Australia and has a friendly and professional approach with a focus on keeping arrangements simple, workable and reliable. Jamen offers mentoring and coaching services for indigenous and non-indigenous businesses, associations and staff trying to bridge the cultural gap and build greater harmony in the workplace.
