Catherine Palin-Brinkworth Travels from Gold Coast, QLD

For the last three decades, Catherine has owned and managed a successful business development consultancy and people performance practice throughout Australia and the Asia Pacific.  Throughout that time, she has worked internationally as a keynote speaker and facilitator on leadership and business development.  She has been retained by various organizations throughout Australia on a range of growth-focused activities and projects and has coached and mentored senior leaders in several fields.  

Catherine has served on selected boards as a non-executive director, both commercially and in the not-for-profit sector.  Catherine was Chairman of Horwath Brisbane chartered accounting practice, sought primarily for strategic business development and leadership mentoring.   She was a leading faculty member of PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Young Leadership Team, and for several years presented Leadership for the Queensland Law Society.  She continues to coach and mentor professionals and other business owners and leaders.

Catherine’s clients have included PricewaterhouseCoopers, St George Bank, Deloitte, Institute of Chartered Accountants, Australian Institute of Credit Management, Heritage Office of NSW, AMP Society, Century 21 Real Estate, Toyota Motor Corporation, Reserve Bank of Australia, RAMS Home Loans,  First Data Resources, Resource Finance Corporation, IPAC Securities, National Management Education Centre, IMAX Panasonic,  Retireinvest, Fairfax Holdings, Pfizer, Advertising Institute of Australia, University of Tasmania - amongst many others.

Her connections are significant, and the maintenance of strong networks and relationships has been one of her strongest skills.

Catherine’s business career began in chartered accountancy and administration. A drive to discover the psychology of success (which has never been satisfied!) led to a rewarding career in sales and marketing - often breaking ground with new concepts and strategies. Catherine developed a pattern of building high-performing sales teams from small beginnings in consumer goods, consumer durables, financial services and funds management. Catherine has also served and led professional associations both nationally and internationally.

Catherine’s qualifications includes BA (Psych) – Macquarie University (uncompleted), M.AppSci (Social Ecology) Organisational Development & Behavioural Sciences – Western Sydney University, Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy – ACAP, Certificate in Financial Services Marketing - University of NSW,  Certificate in Public Relations - University of Sydney, Change Consultancy Certification - Scott Washington, Certified Master Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming – Howard, and Certified Master Coach – Minkus and Slatyer.

Catherine is well regarded for her ability to communicate and build relationships with people from across the globe and across all business and community sectors.   She has authored and delivered over 50 people skills training programs, now in continual use under license throughout Australia.   

For several years Catherine has been a frequent columnist and contributing writer to national and international publications.  She is a contributing author to “20/20 Business Inspiration”, ‘Secrets of Inspiring Leaders Exposed’, ‘Spirituality in the Workplace’ and ‘22 Essentials for Building your Best Business’.   Her own book ‘What is Success Anyway?’ was an Australian best-seller and is currently being republished.
